Efficacy of antifungal substances of three Streptomyces spp. against different plant pathogenic fungi

Abstract Background Soil-borne plant pathogenic fungi with a wide host range of crops cause significant limitation on the global production agronomic crops. Applications synthetic pesticides are an important tool for managing diseases, but have deleterious influences environment as well its incompatibility organic agriculture. Recently, Streptomyces spp. became one best bio-control agents promising environmentally eco-friendly method effective management diseases. Results In previous research, three species spp., i.e., S. griseus (MT210913 “DG5”) , rochei (MN700192 “DG4”) and sampsonii (MN700191 “DG1” strains) were identified, exhibiting potent antifungal activities against fungus, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in vitro greenhouse. GC–Mass analysis revealed presence 44, 47 54 substances DG1, DG5 DG4, respectively. GC–MS substances, activity, categorized volatile compounds (VOCs), fatty acids growth regulators, etc. exhibited 7, 13 20 produced by sampsonii, griseus, These activity various fungi, Botrytis cinerea, Macrophomina phaseolina, Rhizoctonia solani vitro, dual-culture assay. The strains inhibited all assay 30–73.67%. Also, applied vivo (in field) supported their potential biocontrol agent possessed biological properties health growth. Applying culture broth field enhanced physiological responses phenols, sugar, chlorophyll, protein contents parameters yield bean plants. Conclusion experiments, foliar application metabolites proved to be great potential, agents, controlling yield. strong antifungal, promoters fungicides.
